admissions are based on written exam + GD-PI + Work Experience + Previous

Group Discussion (GD)
is a nothing more than a discussion done in group. So what's so special about Group
Discussion? We do discussion in groups all the time, sitting in our college
canteen discussing about cool guys / hot girls, discussing about friends, games,
music, movies, studies, etc. again the question is same why is this discussion
so different?
Why so Different..! Group Discussion VS Discussion in your Group

You can’t choose the topic
·
You don’t have an option to stay away
·
You might not know anything (A, B, C…) about
the topic
·
You may not interact with known faces
·
Aim of this discussion is not just to
discuss, or Pass Time but to score or crack Admission Process
·
Mainly Group Discussion is used as one of
the admission criteria.
You planned for an entrance exam (CAT/MAT/SNAP/NMAT/IBSAT/FMS/IIFT/XAT
or else), Read hell lot of stuff for the same, Appeared for Entrance exam and
Cracked the exam too …..! Now what?
As per normal Admission process you need to apply for
desired institute, if your scores (entrance exam) are good enough you would be
getting a call for further process Group Discussion and Personal Interview(GD-PI).
Why Group Discussion
is used as further process for Admission?
Group Discussion is a technique to assess the candidate’s:

Presence of mind (Creative & Analytical)

Communication Skills
·
Knowledge (depth and distribution)
·
Be visible and balanced (not too aggressive
nor too timid)

Capability to listen and make people listen

Capability to co-ordinate and lead
